The RA Centre offers dedicated junior badminton programming designed to help young players develop their skills and progress through different stages of badminton development.
Junior FUNdamental Training – Ages 8–17
This program is designed for children and teens ages 8–17 who want to advance beyond recreational badminton. Players develop technical skills, tactical understanding and physical fitness in a fun, structured environment.
Participants are grouped according to skill level, and previous badminton experience is not necessarily required. Tryouts are not required for the FUNdamental program.
The program can also provide a pathway toward the RA Badminton Club's Junior High Performance programming.
Junior High Performance Training – Ages 8–18
The Junior High Performance program is intended for young athletes looking for a more competitive badminton experience. Training focuses on technical, tactical, physical and mental skills, with intensive drills and coaching designed to help athletes improve their performance.
The program is divided into different skill levels, ranging from low-intermediate athletes to provincial and national-level competitors. Tryouts are required for the High Performance program.
