The RA Chess Club is one of Ottawa's longest-running and most active chess clubs, offering opportunities for both competitive and recreational play. The club welcomes youth players ages 13–17 who are knowledgeable chess players and have been assessed by the Club Chair.
Youth members can participate in the club's weekly chess activities, including Thursday evening tournament play and Sunday afternoon rapid/casual play. The club also hosts chess lectures, simultaneous exhibitions and regional tournaments during the season.
